Today is the end of an era, at least for me, although it hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’ve worked nearly 21 years for the same family. I’ve seen highs and lows, watched families grow up, watched lives change and people come and go. I feel like I’ve had the best seat in the house at the most incredible show I’ve ever seen. And it was a show I didn’t want to end.
But the thing about growth, I believe, is that sometimes you have to give something up in order to make room for something new. It makes me appreciate the special moments we have in life, no matter how small, even that much more.
I’m going to miss the ongoing scenes in the show because I’m leaving today. But that doesn’t mean I won’t always be a fan. It’s sort of like Saturday Night Live. Some of the players may come and some may go. But the spirit of the show is always entertaining and fun and crazy. I just hope I get to make a guest appearance somewhere down the road.
