This is the greenest I have ever seen the Badlands. Grass rolls in waves in the breeze across the floor like a green ocean in a storm. Prairie Lilies and wild flowers blossom in places that haven’t been graced by the presence of a bloom in months or years.
Flora is accompanied by fauna. Baby bison and Bighorn Sheep can sleep in the shady canopy of grass since trees are hard to come by. Mothers graze lazily since their little ones are well hidden and safe.
Clouds roll by overhead gathering their strength for the evenings storm. The jagged bluffs gleam in slivers of sunlight that break through the clouds. Horizontal layers of beige, cream, pink and sand.
