Books to Inspire your Moto Adventures

Lots of people have traveled the world on a bike, and some have even written about their adventures.  I read most of the books before and during my preparations for my own trip, and a few have accompanied me on the road….great reads and great resources.

Authors to check out – Sam Manicom (Into Africa, Under Asian Skies, Distant Suns, Tortillas to Totems), Lois Pryce (Lois on the Loose, Red Tape and White Knuckles), Graham Field (in Search of Greener Grass), Ted Simon (Jupiter’s Travels), Cathy Birchall and Bernard Smith (Touching the World – story of the travels of a couple, the woman was blind….incredible story), and so many more…

Click the link and if an image pops up click that too and you should be directed to Amazon if you’re interested in more information on the books.

  1. Good suggestions SC -just reading red tape now – you should also check out Overland to India and Nathan Millward’s latest book across USA to Alaska on a 110 Honda. I think you’ll like Nathan, sweet man.

    • Thanks so much! Will definitely check those out. I read Nathans book about riding the red Postie bike from Australia called Going Postal. Bought it at a bike show in Sydney a couple of years ago. And loved it. Saw him but didnt meet him. Please let me know if you find other books worth a read!
