Southern England

I’ve loved our time Cornwall and hate to leave. But I’m excited about the handful of fantastic things we have planned for the return trip to East Sussex.

And the best part is planned for midday as we leave Cornwall. We plan to stop and see THE Sam Manicom on our way back through Devon. And what we had hoped might be a half hour to hour of his time over tea In a local coffee shop has turned into Sam inviting us to his place for lunch.

We enjoy a couple of fabulous hours with Sam, sharing stories, comparing scars, and  asking him for his thoughts on travel in Africa and writing travel memoirs. He’s a wealth of information and ideas, and I respect his opinion immensely. Thank you, Sam, for a perfect afternoon.

Then off to New Milton for the night and the Sammy Miller Museum in the morning. And if you haven’t been…you need to get there.
